How Do You Control Smart Blinds?
Four ways, mix and match: the handheld remote, a wall switch, the smartphone app, or your voice through Alexa and Google Home. Most homeowners use voice for "good morning," the app when they're away, and a wall switch by the door.
Which Motors Do You Use for Smart Blinds?
We build with Somfy and Ronco motors - quiet, proven motors that stand up to daily use and come with our manufacturer warranty on the hardware. We match the motor to your window size and how you want to control it during your free consultation.
Are Smart Blinds Battery-Powered or Hardwired?
Both. Battery motors are the simplest to install - no wiring, no wall damage, and a charge lasts months on most windows. For large windows or rooms where you'd rather never think about charging, we run a hardwired motor. We'll recommend the right setup window by window.
Can I Put My Blinds on a Schedule or Have Them Adjust on Their Own?
Yes. Set daily schedules - open at sunrise, close at dusk - or let the built-in temperature and light sensors do the work, closing when the afternoon sun heats a room and reopening as it cools. You can also save scenes like "Movie Night" or "Good Morning" and trigger a whole room with one tap.
Can You Make My Existing Blinds Smart, or Only New Ones?
Smart control is built into the blinds as we manufacture them, so it comes standard with new custom smart blinds. If you love the blinds you already have, ask us about adding one of our blind motors during the consultation - in many cases we can motorize your current setup instead of replacing it.
Is There a Warranty on the Motors?
Yes. Our motors carry a lifetime manufacturer warranty on the hardware and mechanism, and your fabrics are covered for 3 years. We stand behind both the parts and the installation.
