Emerald Place is a brand-new, three-building luxury apartment community in Sherwood Park, totalling 361 suites. When the property team needed every window covered to a single, cordless, child-safe standard, they came to Bold Blinds. We measured, manufactured, and installed more than 1,500 cordless roller shades - light-filtering for the living spaces, blackout for the bedrooms - across all three buildings, on a schedule that moved in lockstep with tenant move-ins. Built locally in Edmonton, finished cleanly, and consistent from the first building to the last.
The Brief
A brand-new luxury community needed window coverings to match its finish.
Emerald Place is a brand-new, three-building luxury community in Sherwood Park - 361 suites of open-concept living with granite counters, stainless appliances, and large balconies. The property team wanted window coverings that lived up to that finish and read as one property across all three buildings. Two requirements drove the spec: cordless operation on every blind for tenant safety, and a consistent, clean look from the street. That meant more than 1,500 windows had to be measured, manufactured, and installed to the same standard - without holding up the community's move-in schedule.

Our Approach
Cordless roller shades, light-filtering and blackout, built to match.
We ran a building-by-building measurement audit and logged every opening into one master spec sheet. Our Edmonton facility built the full order in matching neutrals: light-filtering cordless roller shades for the living spaces to soften daylight without blacking out the room, and blackout cordless roller shades for the bedrooms for full privacy and sleep. Every shade uses a cordless lift - no chains, no cords - so the finish is clean and child-safe across all 361 units. Installation was sequenced building by building to keep each address moving on its own timeline.

Every unit across the three buildings looks the same from the street and felt finished on move-in day. The cordless light-filtering and blackout combination gives tenants real control over daylight and privacy in every room, and the property team got a single point of contact from first measurement to final install. Built locally, delivered on schedule, and ready for the community's full lease-up.
