Meadowhaven is a 61-unit apartment building in the established Heritage Creek community in Spruce Grove. When the property team needed every window covered to a single, consistent standard, they came to Bold Blinds. Over the course of a year we measured, manufactured, and installed more than 350 manual zebra shades - dual-fabric shades that shift from soft, filtered daylight to full privacy - unit by unit, working around occupied suites to keep the community running. Built locally in Edmonton, finished cleanly, and consistent across every unit.
The Brief
An established community needed one consistent zebra shade standard.
Meadowhaven is part of the well-kept Heritage Creek community in Spruce Grove - 61 units that needed every window covered to a single, consistent standard. The property team wanted a clean look across the building and window coverings that were simple for residents to operate day to day. Off-the-shelf wasn't the answer: every opening had to be measured, manufactured, and installed to match, without disrupting residents in occupied units.

Our Approach
Manual zebra shades - layered light control, simple to use.
We ran a building-wide measurement audit and logged every opening into a single master spec sheet. Our Edmonton facility built the full order of dual-fabric zebra shades in matching neutrals. The alternating sheer and solid bands let residents dial in anything from soft, filtered daylight to full privacy just by shifting the shade - and the manual operation keeps it simple to use and easy to service across the building. Installation was sequenced to work around occupied units and keep the community running through the rollout.
